Ballroom dance is making a BIG comeback.
Ballroom dance is the most beautiful form of dance and articles are popping up everywhere to confirm that ballroom dancing is excellent exercise for the mind, body, and soul. A recent study article in U.S. News & World Reports (Feb 20, 2006) Magazine tells how ballroom dancing is a deterrent to Alzheimer's Disease.

LESSON FEES
Private lessons are available for one-on-one or couple instruction. You will be amazed and pleased at how quickly you can learn.
Fees are $35.00/one hour instruction.
Lessons are provided at our private home studio in Edmonds, WA .
Students get music CD's for take-home practice.
Group lessons are available for corporate work parties and are great team building events.
I am also contracting for public school instruction.

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Shirley Carmen Johnson, published Author, Spanish Teacher and
Ballroom Dance Instructor has been dancing since age 5. 
A music and dance major,
professionally trained and highly
experienced, Carmen provides
safe and comfortable and fun
learning environment for her
students. She gets you dancing on your first lesson!
WHAT STRICTLY BALLROOM IS AND IS NOT.
- Strictly Ballroom is NOT a dance studio or club.
- We ARE dance instructors. Carmen gives private instruction one on one. We teach as a team, group instruction at outside venues .
- We ARE a social dance venue designed for partner dancing entertainment in all forms of Ballroom.
- Strictly Ballroom does NOT teach or train for "competition dancing".
- We DO teach the Ballroom social basics and etiquette; instructing in proper frame, form, and technique for all the ballroom dances.
- Our instruction is structured for the average person/couple who wants to learn how to dance and enjoy from all the social aspects of Ballroom dance.
- We help to reinforce confidence and remove the fear of not knowing what to do. We make learning sessions fun, easy and exciting.
- Strictly Ballroom does NOT sell long term expensive packages. Private students are asked to commit to one month at a time at the reasonable rate of $35/Lesson. Students can renew for each new month as they desire.
- A complimentary lesson is provided prior to the beginning of each social dance and the cost of the lesson and dance is $12./person. No partner is necessary.
- Strictly Ballroom does NOT play rap or hip hop.
- We DO play all the memorable Ballroom favorites from the 40's through the 80's with a splash of disco. You won't be disapointed.
- Strictly Ballroom suggest smart to tasteful attire.
